Of the...Oh goodness, so many new books to look up!<br /><br />Of these you have listed several of my favorites. <i>Their Eyes Were Watching God</i>, and <i>Cry, the Beloved Country</i> are both so gorgeous, goodness, I love them to little booky pieces. <i>Number the Stars</i> is also a favorite of mine, ditto <i>Little Women</i> and I think I read <i>The Good Earth</i> for the first time when was 13 or something and have always loved it. It might of been my first "adult" book I read, good way to start, I think! :)<br /><br />(And I read <i>Madame Bovary</i> last year and really really did not love it.
