The Beginning

For all the cool things I've done and places I've been to, this mothering thing is the hardest and most wonderful journey of all. This was taken in May 2007.

We rented snowshoes from the ORC and I squeezed into those snowpants, despite being six months pregnant. I think you could actually hear the seams ripping as I knelt down.

I didn't make it to the top, but I did have a toenail that turned black and stayed that way for nearly a year afterward. Good times.
