Why does the New Year always feel like such let down? What should be a time of refreshing and renewal often is just a flurry of house cleaning from the "most wonderful time of the year." Oh, and don't forget all the bills that must be paid, hopefully before the tax return shows. In colder climes, there is the inevitable three months of winter left with no real holidays to look forward to. There are gift exchanges that just point out that those you love really don't know you as well as you had hoped. And with two kids, where do you put all the new toys!
Okay, it is a prosy, cold day in the land of the Frozen Chosen, but the promise of spring has not yet loomed bright enough to tempt me out of my mood. I am sure that will all change in about 10 minutes, after all, that is one of the best parts of being a woman. If you are grumpy, just wait for the hormone change!

I hate days like that. You kind of feel like 'Well, I guess its just going to be the same old thing from now until...' what ever the next thing months and months away that you are looking forward to. Life in the UK was poopy because it never did get warm or sunny.
Mmm, I feel the same way too. The new snow helps, though--for me. At least I know it'll be a green spring.

Really? Shania Twain says that the best part about being a woman is the perogative to have a little fun. Fun! Fun! Because, MAN! She Feels Like A Woman.
Surely, you can't argue with that well founded logic and philosophy. Who are we, mere mortals, to contradict the great Shania Twain?
