I have to admit to being rather overwhelmed by this year's list. Of the 45 listed here, I've only read ONE Of them (Les Miserable), and only heard of a few books and/or authors. Clearly I'm out of some very important loop. And one of my goals this year is to read less? Yikes.

and happy reading to you all!

I've only read 2.5 of them (I read the abridged Les Mis). I second whoever recommended The Help. Very good read.

Sorry to hear you (or one of the kids) has been sick. :/

Hooray! I'm a winner! I hope you enjoy The Persian Pickle Club. I had to be talked into reading it, but I was not sorry that I read it.

I've heard really good things about a lot of these books, most recently about "Room" and "Matched."

Can't wait to hear your reviews!

My kids have conjunctivitis too. All three of them. Bleh.

In your defense, I think most of us were trying to suggest something we love that we thought there was a good possibility you hadn't read yet. So, perhaps the results mean we know how to "read" you.
