There is great meaning in life for those willing to journey
1. Maintain and nourish the relationships within my immediate family. I will continue all those good things I have going with Plantboy (the one place in my life I feel truly successful). I will encourage my boys to be each others' best friends and I will foster an atmosphere of trust and love in my relationships with them.
2. I will work out a regular scripture reading plan, including making time to study the Book of Mormon regularly (monthly?) with a recently baptized friend who is heading to the temple later this spring. She is shy and still adjusting to Mormon culture. Our study times, when we get them, are marvelously valuable to both of us. I will not let this opportunity go.
3. I will learn to pray like my seven year old. Sincerely. With the spirit filling my heart and mind with just the right words. I will pray more often.

I also read this post and the comments today. Did you find the link on facebook? Mike Stanger? It certainly reflects some of my own feelings, as do several of the comments. There were a few comments that just felt like fingernails scratching a board. You don't need to publish this unless you want. I just thought it was ironic that you posted it the day I read it and I remembered that we have a mutual friend. ;)
It's true that there were plenty "I used to be a Mormon" comments, but I really enjoyed the original post. I hope the author really does have a good Utah experience. Few people end up indifferent. And Mike's was one of the places I saw it, yes.
Thank you for sharing that link. It was lovely to see the author and so many commenters speak of the Church and its members with such warmth and respect. They're Christians in the true sense of the word. I hope I am, too.
