These things come in threes

Major brake job last May. The muffler fiasco in mid August.

Did you know that when a radiator cracks and sprays fluid on your windshield it smells exactly like maple syrup?

I feel for you- I hate car problems! Last year we ended up getting two cars in about a month. I had wrecked one, and our 91 explorer died on us! It is always so fun!

Wow! I feel for you. We forced our little 14-year-old Camry to limp along until the end of 2004, when we finally broke down and bought a new one. But we know what it's like to wonder what will go wrong next. As for the radiator fluid--it makes me think of a Demolition Derby. Hey, there's an idea! You can drive it in the derby and maybe win and get money for a new one or something.

Just a thought. ;)

This happens to us all the time... we've come to a point where we are always asking, "do we pay to get this piece of junk fixed, when it is slowly dying, or do we sink our money into a new car?" (which would end up being more money but at least we'd have no car problems). It's a tricky question!

Our van has a thousand things wrong with it. I keep on postponing getting them fixed which makes it even harder because every month something new is added to the list. If it hasn't gone wrong because its 100,000+ then its broke because a childs put a penny in it. Chris and I are trying to see just how many "lights" we can get turned on at the same time. We currently drive with 4 on. Mysterious new ones are lighting up regularly. Wait is this my blog or yours. Sorry for the eternity comment.

Sorry! Was it pink too? Our radiator hose came off (or according to the mechanic someone pried it off for fun) and it sprayed all over. I didn't place the maple syrup smell until you said that. I probably thought the syrup smell was from my shirt since I usually spill some down the front of me whenever I eat it. Good luck with the car issues.

Did the smell make you want some pancakes??? I love pancakes - I bet you loved that Jack Handy moment.
